Please find attached agenda for the upcoming Annual General Meeting of the Waiheke Island Historical Society Incorporated which will be held on:

SUNDAY 11 APRIL 2021 @ 2.00 PM

Our speaker will be Logan Moss, who will be telling us how the Museum is utilising technology to archive our records to preserve our history. This has been made possible by the acquisition of two new computers.

For your information attached are some proposed amendments to the WIHS’s Constitution (also called ‘the Rules’). This agenda item will be discussed at the AGM as any changes need approval by a majority of members. (Note that the Incorporated Societies Act 1908 is in the process of being updated and some further amendments may be required once Parliament passes the new Act.)

We look forward to welcoming you on Sunday 11 April, especially if you think you may like to become a committee member. Nominations should be made to the Secretary by email to alisongrahamhunt@gmail.com seven (7) days before the AGM. Attached is a nomination form which needs to be completed for this purpose. If there are insufficient nominees there is also provision to take nominations from the floor on the day. (See further Rule 7).

We are also on the quest for new volunteers. There are a number of duties to be carried out, but our chief need at the moment is for people staff the desk during our opening hours, which are Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holiday Mondays, between the hours of 11 am and 3 pm.

Alternatively, payment in cash at the AGM is another option.
