Minutes of WCS Committee meeting held 8:35pm Tuesday 28th Oct 2025 at Whitakers after Choir Practice.

 

Present: Adrienne (president), Anne, Willi, Mark James, Sandra, Gavin, Maya (plus Andy).

Apologies: Mark Yandall, Joan.

Minutes of last committee meeting held 26/08/25: Accepted.

Christmas 2025 Concert:

-          Advertising: Adrienne to talk with Mark Y re arranging on-line advertising (Waiheke Facebook, Community Page, etc). Mark J will arrange Gulf News article and advert, plus an ad in What s On and in Weekender.

-          Poster: Maya tabled 3 examples of various complexity general consensus was the more colourful option, wording to include Waiheke Choral Society Christmas Concert and Carol Sing-a-Long , when and where (2pm Sunday 7th Dec @ St Peters), and entrance by koha with proceeds to WH Budgeting Service. Need - 2 x A1 laminated \ Maya to

  2 x A2 laminated | arrange

  3 x A3 unlaminated / printing.

  20 x A4 - Gavin to print.

-          Notification to members: Adrienne will send out email re supper, dress code, times, etc.

-          Church confirmed booked, Adrienne to check re entry/unlocking of church.

Christmas Party:

-          Confirmed to be at Adrienne s home, Tues 9th Dec at 6:30pm (she will do a small ham).

-          Adrienne to send out email to members to bring a main dish or dessert (not nibbles), prepare an item (individual or group), bring $10 Secret Santa pressy and BYO alcoholic drinks.

-          Adrienne will provide serviettes, etc, and non-alcoholic drinks.

-          Committee supplying nibbles.

-          Someone needs to bring a couple of extra secret santa pressy s in case someone forgets.

-          Andy volunteered to be santa.

General Business:

-          Tues 11th Nov both Anne and Sandra will be away, Mark J will lead practice.

-          Choir practices to restart in 2026 in early Feb.

-          Next year s mid-year concert: - aim for end of May/early June (July = school holidays).

  Neapolitan from Naples.

Treasures Report: Mark tabled report for CY25 to-date. Thanks given to Mark. Apparent $613 loss due to $1,304 payments made in Jan that were actually last year s costs.
