Minutes of Committee meeting held at Philip’s, Putiki Road.

Tues. 29th Dec. 2009.

Meeting opened at 8.00pm.

Present: Philip, Jeanne, Marion, Judy, Mark, Dee, Andy, Maya, Seth and Richard.

Apologies: There were no apologies

Minutes: of meeting held on 1^st Dec. were taken as read, and accepted.

Matters arising: There were no matters arising.

Correspondence: There was no correspondence.

Finance: $1, 993.00 was taken in the donation box for “Messiah”

Christmas Party/ Onetangi Residents Ass. $75

An earlier agreement to pay Sheena $70 was increased to $100 as more work was done.

Messiah: This was pronounced to be a resounding success, playing to full houses, with many enthusiastic comments from a delighted audience.

It was agreed that the invitation to the other choirs on the island to join with us, had been

a happy experience.

We probably made a profit of $35.

It was suggested that in future, more than one donation box is needed, as there were three entrances to the church.

Thanks were expressed to all those who helped move chairs and risers to and from the church.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum:

After discussion following a quiet response to the auditions, it was decided to proceed with this show, advertise it well and contact all those who have expressed an interest in taking part, and review the response at the next meeting.

Date for all cast Tuesday 19^th Jan at Artworks at 7.00pm

Mark to advertise in Gulf News and Market Place.

Dee to be advised of all who are interested so far and to be further advised of those possibly interested.

Dee will contact them and advise them of the 19^th deadline.

There is a cast of 15-20 needed.

Next Year:

Choir recommences Tues 2^nd February at Whittakers at 6.30pm with a meet and greet followed by singing.

All rehearsals commence first week in February.

8.00-10.00 Forum at Artworks

Thurs 7.30-9.30 Forum .. ..

and every 2^nd Sunday .. ..

AGM Tuesday March 23^rd at Whittakers at 6.30pm followed by normal choir practice.
