Minutes of Special Committee Meeting

Held 16 October 2007 at Palm Beach Hall

Meeting opened at 9:15 PM.

Present: Jack Watson (president), Dee Austring, Barb Cuff, Mark James, Jeanne Mellamphy, Richard Melville, Andy Spence, Maya Spence, Marie Watson.

Andy reported on his conversation with Anne Sutton regarding her expenses in making the costumes for The King and I.

Motion (moved Andy, seconded Marie): That the Choral Society reimburse Anne Sutton $2000 for her expenses in making the costumes.

Richard expressed the concern that this payment should be seen as a reimbursement, and not as a precedent for paying Choral Society members for volunteer labour.

The motion was passed unanimously.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:25 PM.
