MINUTES WAIHEKE CHORAL SOCIETY SEPT.21^ST.2

The meeting opened at 6pm

Minutes The minutes of the last meeting were read with two amendments.Agrammatical error which altered the context of the sentence.The word “to” was used instead of “from” and Wendy did not agree to head the show committee but will take phone calls.M.Mark S.Wendy PU.

Matters Arising Simkin House has been pulled down and is no longer viable.Singing in the Panto will be by individual choice.The deposit for Atworks has not been returned yet; Mark will pursue it.

Correspondence. In Letter from Linda Deveral outlining plans for Christmas Concert to be held in conjunction with a weekend of Christmas festivities on Waiheke Island. Letter from George Blanchard.He has deposited two copies of the Edwin Carr Waiheke Lyrics with the Auckland City Library.Letter from MORRA Hall committee thanking Choral Society for their efforts in raising nearly $1500.Letter from Fiona MacBride praising the concert.

Out.Philip to send letter to George Blanchard thanking him for his work on the committee.Jeanne to send thankyou letters to Lloyd for use of his piano and to Marion and Dulcie for playing the piano at the concert and rehearsals.

General Business Their will be a concert by a cappella onOct.17^th at 3.30pm at St Pauls Church. Koha at the door.

End of year function Tuesday December 14^th at 6.30.pm to 9.30.pm at Onetangi Hall , members to bring a plate suitable for dinner and one item per person.

Committee Members. The committee is down three members and Vonny Maguire has kindly offered her services and has been accepted on to the committee.

Life Membership. It was decided to give Life Membership to Alan and Eileen Boghurst. M.Richard S.Jeanne P.U.Philip to see about badges.

It was decided to use Palm Beach Hall on a long term basis for Tuesday rehearsals. See Jan MacCartain for further inquiries

Any other business End of year concert. we will do a concert of Christmas carols and songs.We need a venue and Te Huruhi shool and participation of the school choir was considered.We will visit Seaside Sanctuary and also try and reprise the concert once more
